An update of sorts
Since my first seizure in the early morning hours of 17 November 2009, I have had three more seizures, one with me arriving in the Sutter Davis ER unconscious, one conscious seizure and being transported to the ER, and one conscious seizure with me staying home. All these events have been rather mind-blowing and life-changing, and rather painful, having dislocated my jaw twice. But on a postive note, I have gotten to know the emergency services personnel of Davis rather well, receiving comments of: "I think we've been here before"; "He looks familiar"; "Your jaw looks better"; "You must be getting tired of this." That was an understatement, as tears flowed down my cheeks as I was rolled into the emergency room for seizure 3, with the water fall in full effect not from fear but from frustration from not being able to control my body or mind and being in the same position again. After many trips to the doctor, I have more trips ahead. Who could have known that having a suspended license, not being able to ride a bike, or being able to drink would be so fun during winter break? Not I. But it's all good. Don't seize up folks.
